I“m Bjoern (47) – married with three stepchildren, two boys 20, 22 and a girl 28 – currently I’m living in Washington D.C. I was born in Dortmund and I have been in the navy for 27 years. I was in three missions – 1x Afghanistan, 2x Djibouti in Africa. After my last tour on duty, a new boss who couldn’t deal with me put me to another unit, I was broken. I have been cycling for nineteen years, I came over spinning to my first road bike a Focus built in 2001. I did triathlon for few years… now I couldn’t run anymore because of my knee’s and my weight. Cycling helps me to control the weight.

I like to commute to work, I try to do it much as I can… if can’t ride .. I’m unhappy.. I feel free in my mind , strong and healthy and ready for the day.
