December 3, 2019

My name is Simon Foy, 43 years old and husband to my amazing wife and proud father of two.
I’ve ridden for quite some time and always been a very involved member of large cycling clubs. From joining my very first club to being the Chairman of one of the UK’s largest. I’ve raced as an elite in the UAE where I enjoyed some success as the team sprinter for Revolution Audi. Training with a great bunch everyday, nothing could be better.
I’ve always felt like a strong person, both physically and mentally, but this has recently been knocked by people I thought were great friends. I was forced to stand down from my position as club chairman as I simply couldn’t take it any more. Being in such a dark place started to affect my home life as well as my business. I stopped ridding and racing, struggled to be around people and became incredibly paranoid and insecure.
My wife is my rock and has been amazing in supporting me (it helps that she is also a therapist). I’m now getting my fitness back on track and starting to get out on rides again. Thoroughly enjoying that feeling from getting out on the bike, just me, my thoughts, my space and my time.
I still have my wobbles every now and then but knowing that I have the support from my wife, some great close friends and my bike are all I need.
I’m very much looking forward to sharing my solo rides and positive thoughts with you all.
Safe riding and stay strong.
