My name is Manu.

I’m 41 years old, married and have 1 son. I live in Flanders, the dutch-speaking region of Belgium.

I started cycling more than 10 years ago. Soon after I also started with triathlon. I did some 1/4 and 1/2 races and really loved it. I dreamed to participate in a full Ironman. But the body decided otherwise and with an hip injury I was out for a couple of years. From sporting many hours a week to none, was very hard.

Since 2017 I’m back on the bike and it’s a true relief! I enjoy every ride, no matter what. I do approximately 10.000km a year and most of them I do alone. It’s the ideal way for inner peace, while enjoying the environment.

It’s an honour to be a member of SSCC.
