Llew – may the love of cycling continue

My name is Llewelyn Roberts; Husband, Dad of two and a Design Engineer. I was born and bred in North Wales – I moved to Manchester, England in 2005 to study Mechanical Engineering and never left!

Growing up, I was into downhill MTB, BMX and dirt jumping. I eventually took to the road in 2012 and struggled to cycle my 10 mile commute, having to stop half way.

A year later in 2013, there I was, riding the two first stages of the TDF in Yorkshire for charity with a small group of friends. We completed 155 miles with 13,000 feet of climbing on the Saturday and 100 miles with 7000 feet of climbing on the Sunday. This was my first experience of a really tough ride!

I love the freedom of cycling outdoors and the places you can see and appreciate more whilst on a bike. I also love training indoors in a controlled environment; combined with Zwift brings a very enjoyable experience… especially with members of Solitude Seekers CC!

I am 33 and feel good, may the love of cycling continue!
