G’day, I’m Erin and I’m Australian. My nick name “Ezz” has followed me since primary school and I like that. I live in Australia and as Perth is the most isolated city in the world it seems fitting to seek solitude on a bike here. Most of my kms are done on my own as it’s a rare few moments in a day that I get to focus on me and be accountable to myself. There are days I like to train hard (real hard) and days I like to just cruise.
I took up cycling following several knee reconstructions from team sports but my cycling journey is short and a baptism of fire. From starting road riding a little over 3 years ago it has taken me around the world racing and experiencing some of the most majestic places on the planet:- the Italian and French Alpes, Belgian cobbles, Dutch plains, Malaysian rainforests and every state of the great ‘Down Under’.
I love the feeling I get exploring on 2 wheels, taking the roads less travelled, the smells in the air, the wind and sun at my back and the endorphins and coffee afterwards are unbeatable. And when the weather is too horrendous for outdoors, I can sweat up a storm on the indoor trainer and get my day off to a positive start.
“Whatever is good for your soul, do that”
