Hi,
My name is Chris and when I’m not being a cyclist I can be found working hard (or at least looking like it) in the office and being the best husband and father to my two children that I can be.
Cycling first started for me back in 2011 after moving to a new house which took me 15km further away from my office. After quickly realising the huge expense of getting a train to/from work every day I decided to try commuting by bike and threw myself in at the deep end and went straight for a road bike and clipless pedals from day one. Coincidentally, this was the first day I came off my bike by forgetting to unclip at traffic lights but we’ve all done that, right?
After that first day though, I was hooked and so several years (and a lot of grey hairs) later I can be found spending as much of my spare time as I can riding around the Peak District taking in some of the beautiful roads and views England has to offer. There’s nothing better than being able to escape real life for a few hours each week and get lost in the beautiful views or challenging myself to better my own PRs on some of the great climbs on offer.
Enjoy it out there everyone and however big or small your rides, chapeau to you!
